Museums in Malaga


The Museo Antropologico is located around Los Montes and it is right in the Parque Natural de las Contadoras. Here there are lots of old wine presses and mills, and if you come here during the grape harvest, you can join in and tread some grapes between your toes, that will eventually be bottled wine called the Malaga muscatel.
The main museums in Malaga are located around the Old Town. Such museums that accommodate Bellas Artes, (fine art) as well as Arte Sacro (art of a religious nature) as well as contemporary art can be found here.
For a more historical brief on Malaga, visit the Museo Arqueologica in the Alcazaba, or see the Teatro Romano, the cathedral, which is missing a tower, and the Customs House (Palacio de la Aduana), which is close to the Paseo del Parque.
There is a bronze sculpture of a young fisherman holding a basket of fish, which symbolises the culture and the past of Malaga. Why not go and treat yourself to a dish of fresh anchovies to take in the experience.
